How to Change a Tire

How to change a tireTo get started find your Jack, your Lug nut wrench and of course the spare tire. These are the tools you need to successfully change a tire. You should check you spare tire pressure regularly to ensure inflation. Park your car on a flat plain, and apply your parking break. For an automatic vehicle you should put your gear in Park. For a manual transmission you will put your car in 1st gear or reverse. Take off your hub caps if your car has any, and then partially loosen the lug nuts.  In a star pattern loosen the lug nuts on a one half turn. Before you jack up the car take a heavy object, for example a brick, and place it in front of the wheel that is diagonal to the flat tire to prevent your car from slipping.

Here is a step by step way to successfully Parallel Park. When you pull up to a potential parking space you first have to make sure that you vehicle can fit inside the Parking space. Then Pull up alongside the car that you would attempt to park behind, and stop. With your foot on the break, put your car into the reverse gear, and reverse half the length of your car so the middle line between your passenger side doors, lines up with the back of the parked car. Stop and turn your steering wheel all the way to the right. Slow motion will get you better results in positioning your car.
